Partnership Opportunities
This year, we have created inclusive medical leadership and early practice management/partnership opportunities to increase long-term representation and financial accessibility for underrepresented veterinarians. We are seeking to collaborate with larger for-profit and nonprofit corporations to host our inclusive internship program for interested veterinary graduates and early career veterinarians.
Through this internship, we collaborate with veterinary medical corporations for sponsorship to offer incremental care medical training in addition to improvement of cultural competency knowledge and communication among the veterinary community. While interns are gaining adequate medical training and mentorship at a full-time practicing veterinarian salary, they would also participate in leadership and communication workshops to prepare them as inclusive leaders. Cohort meetings of interns would be offered on a monthly basis. We will also work with interns to create individualized community outreach projects to enhance accessibility of care throughout their internship period.
